Unisys has Global Presence at Microsoft New Efficiency Launch

On September 24th Microsoft unveiled three much-anticipated new products at their New Efficiency Launch. As a worldwide platinum sponsor, Unisys presented a session to IT Pro and Developer audiences on its Windows Server 2008 R2 and Hyper-V Early Adopter Experience.
 
Unisys will continue to have a significant presence as a speaker in both Technical Decision Maker and IT Pro/Developer events throughout the two-month series of launch events, highlighting its Data Center Transformation and Outsourcing and End User Outsourcing areas of strength, as well as Unisys Secure Cloud.
 
These three new Microsoft technologies - Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Exchange Server 2010 - are the foundation for many of our Microsoft-based solutions and service offerings. For instance, Unisys is demonstrating how it takes advantage of the new Microsoft technology, especially Microsoft virtualization using Hyper-V. In support of this we’ll be providing a number of important benchmarks that demonstrate the capacity of Unisys server technology to sustain and manage large, mission critical virtualized workloads. Further, Unisys is uniquely equipped to deliver higher performance levels and lower TCO for customers looking to leverage Windows 7.  Our End-User Productivity Services adaptive framework is designed to optimize the efficiency, cost and overall performance of Windows environments, no matter where an organization is on the IT maturity curve – from planning a migration to the next generation of Microsoft products, to exploring cloud-based alternatives to traditional desktops.
 
Unisys will be present at 13 U.S. cities beginning Sept. 24 in Minneapolis, and culminates with the worldwide launch at TechEd Europe in Berlin, Nov. 9-13. For those unable to attend any of the launch activities, Microsoft will provide a Virtual Launch Experience that includes most of the content available at in-person events. Unisys will have a booth at the virtual launch site that includes brochures, Webinars, whitepapers, industry articles and reports, videos and presentations, all of which visitors can download.
