University of Wisconsin Credit Union supports growth via improved performance and flexibility
The University of Wisconsin Credit Union (UWCU) chose the Unisys ClearPath Financial Services FS1600 server with a market–leading pay–for–use business model and metering technology to support and speed expansion.
A Unisys client for 13 years, UWCU continued its long–term partnership with the company and upgraded its core processing platform to a Unisys ClearPath Financial Services Series FS1600 metered server. The new mainframe offers unprecedented processing power – thanks to its market–leading, pay–for–use business model and metering technology.
The credit union uses EMC CLARiiON storage devices and runs the latest Linear Tape–Open (LTO) system from Dynamic Solutions International. "We were able to perpetuate the value of our investment in our older Unisys CS7801 server by repurposing it for disaster recovery," says Greg Yelk, information technology director at the University of Wisconsin Credit Union.
