About Agile Business Suite
Unisys Agile Business Suite (AB Suite®) is a Low code development platform for mission critical solutions. It helps organisations address change and capitalise on it rather than simply just respond.
AB Suite supports the design, development, generation, and ongoing maintenance of high-performance, highly available, enterprise-class applications, providing a development environment which enables business and technical professionals to truly collaborate.
It encourages people to focus on what an application should do and not worry about how it should be coded or deployed. Agile Business Suite is composed of Developer executing on Windows and Runtime for each ClearPath® MCP, ClearPath® OS 2200 (Jan 2022) and Windows.
The AB Suite User Virtual Conference, 9th – 10th November 2021
Each year we run a conference for our AB Suite user community and this year over 150 people attended our virtual conference over 2 days in November 2021.
Due to on-going covid limitations, once again we were unable to deliver the event as a face-to-face format. So as with 2020, we delivered it as a virtual event. For this year we used a dedicated virtual event platform so that we could deliver a more interactive experience, enabling better levels of presentations showing both screen content and the presenters.
As with the previous event we have made available both the presentation decks, and the actual recordings of each session as well, and these are accessible directly from the agenda.
Event Information
Below we have detailed the agenda over the 2 days with the speakers and a summary of the content and themes of each session. It includes which sessions took place on which day, and summarised the content and themes.
In addition, there are links at the end of each description to both the slide decks and the full recorded sessions, which also includes the Q and A’s at the end.

Why is testing slowing delivery? Why is my application so difficult to test?
Businesses are demanding more functionality, more quickly, and more frequently. In this session we will highlight some of the underlying causes why testing can prove to be challenging in terms of the scope, scale, time, and effort, required. We will use an analysis tool (MATRIX), developed by the Unisys U.K. services team and available as a tool or via a services engagement, to illustrate some of these causes and how they might be addressed.

Refactoring AB Suite Applications for reduced maintenance efforts
Refactoring applications is a well-recognised approach to improve their maintainability by, for example, reducing code duplication and testing requirements. This session highlights some of the modelling and coding features that AB Suite offers to enable clients to gradually refactor their applications – including examples based on client experiences - while avoiding those understandable fears.

Testing AB Suite Applications
Every organisation is seeking improved accuracy and faster turnaround for its application testing, whilst also aiming to lower the associated staff resource requirements. Automating the testing process is the obvious way to address these requirements. This session covers some of the automation tools and approaches that are available from Unisys and other vendors to test AB Suite applications, with examples of how some Unisys development organisations and clients have improved their testing outcomes by using them.

Personally identifiable information (PII), financial data, and other sensitive details communicated between client and server components need to be secured. This session covers off the new security features of AB Suite 8.0 for both MCP and Windows runtime. We will also cover security features of 7.0 release and recap of security features of prior releases.
